In the now 12 successful years since the company was founded, a few new strategic developments have been launched – and to a large extent implemented – at LARsys. In addition to the opportunity of planning the LARsys controls with open source tools, the commitment to IEC61131-3 with the standardised languages KOP, FUP, AWL and ST was one of the most important milestones.

We had to decide either to develop our own programming system or to make use of a system that was already established on the market.
In this case, the clear decision was in favour of CODESYS V 3, which, in addition to its strong market acceptance, also convinces with unbeatable arguments, such as hardware independence and technological security for the end customer. The integrated solution for visualisation, motion and safety and the opportunity of object-orientated programming show that vigorous and yet careful development of the system is secured.

Technologically, at LARsys we continue to rely on the energy-efficient and, at the same time, powerful ARM processors, such as the new generation of an ARM Cortex A8 processor with a 1 GHz clock rate.

The panel PLC family is the first LARsys hardware that is also available as a CODESYS variant. The CODESYS range is gradually added to by the modular L20 system and by different compact controls.

After the first field tests last year, the technology is now developed to the extent that customer-specific solutions are currently being worked on as well.

With its development expertise, LARsys is concentrating fully on the relevant requirements and together with the customer is developing an optimal solution for it. The actual technology always remains in the customer’s hands - with immediate effect, LARsys is complying with this philosophy even better by integrating CODESYS.
