Keypad control with flexible fieldbus connection
Would you prefer to operate your machines or systems using keys or selector switches? No problem.
Our control elements are suitable for quick access to functions, maintaining an overview of complex systems or for setup mode in the case of on-site control stations. The control panels are always robustly built and designed in a modern fashion.
Facts & features of the LARsys KEYPAD KP controls
The KEYPAD KP00x simplifies the setup of control stations significantly thanks to an integrated fieldbus connection and onboard DI/DOs. 32 short-stroke keys are available via the fieldbus as an input bitfield. In the contrary direction, each key is lit up in the colours green, red and orange or with a flash rate (2Hz) by means of a 2-bit combination.
Additionally, the KEYPAD has 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs on board. These, too, are operated by means of the integrated fieldbus interface. The digital outputs are short-circuit-proof and can be operated from the PLC or indirectly with on-board flash rates (0.5Hz/2Hz).
For keys and digital inputs, pulse stretching of 0 - 1,000 ms can be parametrised. The inputs possess an input delay of 1 ms. One of the keys can be parametrised as a push-to-test button. The labelling of the keys takes place by means of laterally insertable labelling strips. In this way, the logo can also be freely adapted. The following are available as fieldbus alternatives:
- Profinet and integrated CANopen master
- Ethernet/IP and integrated CANopen master
- CANopen slave
The LARsys KEYPADs KP001PB and KP002CN (Profibus or ControlNet interface) can be expanded with up to 4 additional KP003CO KEYPADs on a cost-optimised basis by means of the integrated CAN bus.
The KEYPADs require an installation opening of W x H = 225 x 189 mm and are attached at the rear using tensioning elements included in the delivery. After installation, the front of the unit offers protection type IP64.
The front panel made of anodised aluminium also opens up to the LARsys KEYPADs applications in areas such as building control, where, in addition to function, design also plays a role.
The KEYPAD is supplied with DC24V; the typical current consumption, including all the LEDs (without digital outputs), is 0.3 A.
The digital outputs can be charged with 0.5 A at a max. total current of 8 A.
